What is the Pantry Project?

The Pantry Project was set up as a crisis response to meet the needs of people (individuals and families) who for one reason or another find themselves in a situation of extreme hardship.  The Churches Trust collect donations and work with community hubs in the distribution of food, at all times preserving the dignity of recipients and treating them with the respect they deserve.  People from all walks of life have accessed our project.  Over the last year we have provided food to over 2500 people (children and adults)

Where do the donations come from?

Donations for the Pantry Project are raised by appealing to churches and schools.  We appeal to individual churches twice a year by asking members of the church to bring non-perishable foods to church.

How is the food collected and stored?

The donations are then collected by The Churches Trust and brought to the food depot located in Tullyally where it is counted, organised and stored until it is needed

What kind of food can be Donated?
